The warehouse market in Poland will increase by 2 million sqm
In Q3 of 2018, the Polish warehouse market added almost 690,000 sqm of new supply. By the beginning of October, storage space was more than 15 million sqm. This is an indication that the general surface volume increased twice over the last 5 years. There is 2 million sqm to be finished, more than a quarter of which is located in the central part of the country.
In fact, Central Poland is one of the most evolving regions. In Łódź, The Panattoni Central European Logistics Hub was finished by the end of September. This is the biggest warehouse space built in the prior quarter (almost 75,000 sqm). Thus, the supply in this part of the country was more than 2 million sqm at the end of Q3.
Eastern Poland saw a total of 75,000 sqm of contemporary warehouse space built.
In Q3, the vacancy rate for industrial space was a bit higher (almost 5%). Warsaw is the leader, followed by the eastern region.
According to the representative of the Logistics and Industrial Space Department at, this is a huge increase in comparison to Q2. It became possible because some of this space is not in complete use yet.
