Property Forum Katowice 2018

The Property Forum Katowice 2018 conference which accompanied 4 Design Days took place in the International Congress Centre and “Spodek” in Katowice between 15 and 18 of February 2018. The participants could also participate in the Property Design Awards 2018 Gala, a competition for the most interesting design projects and commercial and public use spaces commissioned before the end of 2017.  

The event was regional and for us, it was a great opportunity to establish contacts with representatives from this sector. The Forum was attended by representatives of companies that are involved in such investments as office buildings, warehouses and hotels, representatives of local authorities, lessees of commercial space, hotel networks, managers of consulting agencies and financiers.

The dominant subject matter during the event was Upper Silesia. The participants talked about outstanding transport structure, rapidly developing airport, as well as well-trained employees. It was emphasised that establishment of a metropolis poses a challenge: the idea of “uniting” the region could improve competitiveness. During Property Forum Katowice, we have also learnt about changes that are going to happen and investments which Upper Silesia is going to use to attract new players. The region in the basin of the Oder River has a lot to offer; in the next years, we will continue to observe how the Upper Silesian market of property is growing.
