Polish Citizens to Travel Visa-Free to US
Visa-free travel to the United States will be available for Polish citizens from November 11, 2019. It’s officially confirmed that Poland will be included in the Visa Waiver Program.
The United States is closer and closer. From November 11 the citizens of the Republic of Poland will be able to cross the ocean to visit the U.S. without a visa. Due to the visa facilitation, every holder of the Polish passport will be able to stay in the U.S. for no longer than 90 days. The goal of the visit should be tourism or business.
Currently, Polish Airline (LOT) has flights to five cities in the United States — new York (JFK), Newark, Chicago, Miami, and Los Angeles. From August 2020 will open a new connection to San Francisco, allowing entrepreneurs based in Poland to visit the Silicon Valley. Apart from Warsaw, there’s also a possibility to travel from Krakow to Chicago. More new air routes from other Polish cities to the United States coming in 2020.
Nowadays around 10 million Polish people live in the U.S. Chicago is the second-largest city after Warsaw where Poles live. The abolition of visas for Poles will encourage cooperation between Poland and the U.S. It’s reasonable to expect that more Polish companies will expand to the American market.
