Mercedes-Benz Cars Will Build Battery Factory in Poland
Within its electric endeavor, Mercedes-Benz Cars will construct a battery plant in Jawor. This will be their ninth facility globally.
The company’s representative noted that the whole portfolio of the car giant would be electrified by 2022. They will be ready to offer different electrified options to customers having more than a dozen pure electric cars. The company will make batteries itself which is a huge success. The battery plant in Jawor is the 2nd most significant Mercedes-Benz investment in this area.
Currently, a modern engine plant is being developed in Jawor. It will make motors for hybrid and traditionally driven cars. It will start working in 2019 and will provide over a thousand jobs. It is important to note that the plant will use the latest technology and the motors will be delivered to car plants in other countries.
The decision of such a giant to invest in Poland shows that the investment climate here is very positive and it is one of the leaders in the 4.0 industrial revolution.
It is interesting to note that Mercedes-Benz Cars is one of the most significant manufactures in Poland which signed agreements with local green electricity and heat suppliers. Both factories mentioned above will be provided with CO2-neutral power which is a unique experience so far.
